Terms of Use
Welcome to Rawi. These terms are the agreement between you and Rawi for using our app — the personalized audio courses, the questions you ask mid-lesson, the quizzes and everything around them. Here is what you can expect from us, and what we ask of you.
01Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Use (the Terms) form a binding agreement between you and Rawi (Rawi, we, us or our) and govern your access to and use of the Rawi mobile app, this website and related services (together, the Service).
By downloading, accessing or using Rawi, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
02Who we are
Rawi is a learning app that turns a goal you describe into a personalized, spoken course delivered a little at a time. If you have any questions about these Terms or the Service, reach us any time at support@tryrawi.app.
03Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 13 years old to use Rawi, and old enough to enter a binding contract where you live. If you are under the age of majority, you may only use Rawi with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.
You are responsible for your device, your Apple ID and any account you create, and for keeping your access secure. Please give us accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for activity that takes place through your account.
04What Rawi does
You tell Rawi what you want to learn, and Rawi generates a personalized course — typically a series of short daily audio lessons built around your goal. While a lesson plays, you can pause to ask a question in English or Arabic and get an answer before the lesson continues. Depending on your plan, Rawi may also offer quizzes, written transcripts, several simultaneous learning plans and streaks that reward consistency.
We are always improving Rawi, so specific features, limits, voices and content may change, be added or be removed over time. We may also set reasonable fair-use limits to keep the Service reliable for everyone.
05AI-generated lessons and answers
Rawi's lessons, answers and quizzes are generated by artificial intelligence and are provided for general educational purposes only. AI can be wrong: content may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date, and it is not a substitute for professional advice — including medical, legal, financial or other specialist guidance. Always use your own judgement and verify anything important before you rely on it. You are responsible for how you use the content Rawi produces.
06Subscriptions and billing
You can preview your first lesson for free. Full access is offered through paid subscriptions — currently Rawi Plus and Rawi Pro — whose features and limits are described in the app at the point of purchase.
Subscriptions are sold through the Apple App Store and billed to your Apple ID. Prices are shown in the app, may vary by region and currency, and may change over time; any change to a recurring price is handled in line with App Store rules.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel a subscription, and restore previous purchases, in your Apple account settings — Rawi cannot cancel it for you. Payments and refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms, so we are generally unable to issue direct refunds.
07Acceptable use
When using Rawi, please do not:
- break the law or infringe anyone else's rights;
- copy, modify, reverse-engineer, scrape or try to extract the underlying models or source of the Service;
- interfere with, overload or disrupt the Service or its security;
- use Rawi to generate or spread content that is unlawful, harmful, hateful, deceptive or infringing;
- share, resell or commercially exploit your access; or
- circumvent usage limits, paywalls or access controls.
08Your content and questions
Your inputs — the goals you set, the prompts and questions you ask (typed or spoken) and other material you provide — remain yours. To run the Service, you grant Rawi a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, process and use your inputs for the purpose of operating, securing, personalizing and improving Rawi, including generating lessons and answering your questions. How we handle this information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for your inputs and confirm you have the right to submit them.
09Our intellectual property
Rawi — including its software, design, branding, voices and the look and feel of the app and this site — is owned by Rawi and its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the Service and the lessons it generates for your own personal, non-commercial learning. Please do not redistribute, publish or commercially exploit generated content without our permission.
10Third parties and Apple
Parts of the Service rely on third parties — including the Apple App Store and third-party AI and cloud providers. Their terms may also apply to you, and we are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.
Because you download Rawi from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Rawi, not Apple, and that Apple is not responsible for the app or its content and has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
11Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided on an as is and as available basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that its content will achieve a particular learning outcome.
12Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rawi and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue or goodwill, arising from or relating to your use of the Service. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid Rawi in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 50. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your statutory consumer rights.
13Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Rawi harmless from claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the Service or your breach of these Terms or of applicable law.
14Suspension and termination
You can stop using Rawi at any time and cancel your subscription through the App Store. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms, or where reasonably necessary to protect the Service, other users or Rawi. Provisions that by their nature should survive — such as intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law — will continue to apply after termination.
15Changes
We may update the Service and these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes to these Terms, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, let you know in the app. Changes take effect when posted, and your continued use of Rawi means you accept the updated Terms.
16Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of the United Arab Emirates have jurisdiction over any dispute, except where mandatory local consumer-protection laws give you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
